Neb & Haimi’s Addis Wedding

Started the 2013 season off with an international experience in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful celebration!

Here are some highlights Neb & Haimi’s wedding day:

Matt & Vera’s Wedding Weekend

A few weekends ago, I was able to photograph my friends, Matt & Vera’s, wedding. Matt and I grew up together, and having spent years together on student congress planning dances, I had high expectations for what he had up his sleeve for his wedding day.

Then I met Vera. She’s beautiful, ambitious, care free, AND funny (amongst so many other great qualities). I had a blast spending the day with them for their engagement shoot and I realized these two could quite possibly throw the best party ever.

Friends and family traveled to Fulton, MO for the big day, and overall, the weekend was incredible!
Great food, wonderful people, beautiful venues, and a dance party that no one will ever forget! (seriously, I’ve never seen a bride with dance moves like Vera’s…)

Matt and Vera are two of my most favorite people, and I am so humbled by their love and desire to live a good story.
Thank you having me be a part of everything for the past couple months!

Tiffany & Wayne’s New Orleans Wedding

This past weekend I was able to photograph my friend Tiffany’s wedding.  Tiffany and I go back over a decade, so even after traveling 10,000 miles to get back to the States from working in the Philippines, I was really excited to visit New Orleans for the first time!

All in all it was pretty incredible; great music, great food, great people, and a parade in the street that I’ll never forget! Since I love food, we made sure to have plenty of crawfish, jambalaya, gumbo, beignets, and couldn’t forget the shrimp and grits!

But the best part of the entire experience was being able to dance in the streets of the Big Easy to celebrate life and love with old friends.

Maureen & Dave’s Costa Rica Wedding

There’s really nothing to complain about when you get to go down to Costa Rica to work.
Brandon and I were fortunate enough to spend the weekend at a few wonderful resorts near the beautiful city of San Jose for the wedding of Maureen and Dave. Every wedding we photograph is different, has it’s own flavor and reflects the personality of the couple. This wedding was about family (blood or not), health, and relaxation.

It was an intimate setting packed with those closest to the couple, and so for us to be there and to photograph this was truly a privilege. We really appreciated Dave and Maureen putting their trust in us to do this job. And from a personal standpoint, I have to say that I appreciate their taste. Everything was classy, understated and sincere. Maureen and Dave feel like the sort of couple that could take over the world. I mean, it was raining for most of the weekend but they had the power to stop the water for the last two hours of Saturday – right when they needed it! If that’s not power I don’t know what is. We want to thank them for the opportunity to be there and wish them well in their future which I have no doubt they will kick butt in. They’re already kicking butt at life to an inspiring degree.

All that said, there was one disappointment. I had really been hoping to take a run through the jungle and find a monkey. I had enough time to take a quick forest hike, but no monkeys were seen.
